Chronicle CMS

Chronicle is a headless CMS built for content teams that need more than a text editor. It combines Sanity's real-time collaboration with a custom visual page builder and AI-powered writing assistance.

The visual page builder lets editors construct pages from pre-built sections (hero, feature grid, testimonials, CTA) without touching code. Each section is a Sanity document type with structured fields. Editors drag, drop, and configure — developers define the components and their schemas.

The AI writing assistant is integrated directly into the editor. It can expand bullet points into paragraphs, suggest headlines, check grammar, and generate meta descriptions. All AI features use streaming for a responsive feel — text appears word by word as the model generates it.

Real-time collaboration was the hardest part. Multiple editors can work on the same document simultaneously without conflicts. We use Sanity's built-in real-time sync for the content layer and added a custom presence system that shows cursors and active selections.
