Shared methods. Specific assumptions.

A working approach to connecting research domains without pretending their problems are identical.

Dayan Ibrar · A working research note

Graphs, uncertainty, simulation, and optimization appear across many research problems. That recurrence is useful, but it does not prove that a method will transfer. A representation that describes software dependencies has different semantics from one describing a physical system.

I find it useful to compare ideas across disciplines while keeping their assumptions explicit. A familiar mathematical tool can help frame a new question, but it does not bring the evidence from its original setting with it.

My working standard is to write both down: what is shared, and what must be independently validated. A program should move from a concrete question to a method, a baseline, and an experiment. A broad vision becomes useful when the next claim is small enough to test.

Treat transfer as an experiment, not a property of the architecture.
